BPJS Managing Director Canceled Examination Regarding Data Breach, Police Turned To This Official
JAKARTA - Police canceled examining the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan Ali Ghufron Mukti related to the investigation of the case of the break-in of 279 million Indonesians. The examination turned to the information technology department officials at BPJS.
"Not (Director of BPJS). One of the authorized officials is really responsible for information technology operations at BPJS Ksehatan", Head of Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brig. Gen. Rusdi Hartono told reporters on Monday, May 24.
The investigation of BPJS officials began at 10:30 a.m. In fact, until about 15.00 WIB the examination is still ongoing.
That way, Rusdi said he could not confirm the results of the examination. However, this examination is expected to find a bright spot to uncover cases of data breaches.
"Hopefully the National Police get a lot of information that will certainly be very useful to resolve the case of alleged data leakage of BPJS Kesehatan participants", he said.

On the other hand, to investigate this matter, the investigating team also requested information from officials of the State Cyber and Password Agency (BSSN). The goal is to look for the possibilities behind the data breach.
"Dittipid Siber Bareskrim has clarified with the relevant agencies. Among others with the State Cyber and Password Agency (BSSN) to deepen the case", he said.
However, the data leak began to be known after the account @ndagels tweeted at least 279 million data belonging to Indonesian citizens sold by hackers. Data leak includes not only Residence Number (NIK) but also the status of life or death up to salary.
