Chrome Address Bar On Android Could Be An AI Image Generator
JAKARTA - Google has again pushed the integration of artificial intelligence into Chrome, and this time the development began to penetrate Android users. After previously appearing in the desktop version of Chrome Canary, the AI image generator feature named Nano Banana is now officially being tested on Chrome Canary for Android.
Over the past few weeks, Google has continued to tease its browser future by embedding various AI experiments. But most of these innovations are only available on the desktop version. The presence of Nano Banana on Android marks Google's new step in presenting creative tools directly on mobile devices.
According to a Windows Report report, this feature appears as a new option in the address bar menu. When the user taps on the plus sign icon in the address bar, Chrome now displays several options such as Camera, Gallery, AI Mode, and the latest Create image option.

When a user selects a Create image,' an AI chip appears just below the address bar. From there, users only need to enter a prompt, and Nano Banana will produce the image as requested. All results appear directly in the browser, without the need to open a separate app.
Google also includes a warning that AI results may not be accurate. Once the image is complete, the user can directly download or share it directly from Chrome.
The presence of Nano Banana on Android continues the leaks that have emerged since October 2025, when the Google app's APK teasedown revealed the experimental feature of image makers in AI Mode on Google Search. The findings hint that Google has prepared deeper AI integrations on Android long before the Nano Banana feature was revealed.
With this trial, it is likely that Google will perfect the image generation experience in the coming months. Once stable, this feature is predicted to move to Chrome Dev and Beta before finally sliding to the public version as one of Chrome's flagship features with the evolution of Gemini's growing energy search experience.
