OPPO Find N6 Will Be The First Foldable With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

JAKARTA - OPPO Find N6 is predicted to debut as the first foldable phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, as well as bring a big leap in the camera sector. This device is said to be using Sony IMX09E's latest flagship sensor, which has not even been officially announced. In addition, one of China's special variants will also reportedly support satellite communications, making it one of the most complete foldables in the market.

This latest news comes back from the famous Digital Chat Station tipster, which previously leaked that Find N6 will be the first foldable with Qualcomm's latest chipset. Now, he reveals more key specifications of the phone that appears to have entered the hardware finalization stage.

According to the source, the largest increase in OPPO Find N6 lies in the main camera. This foldable phone is reportedly using Sony IMX09E, a premium sensor positioned above LYT-900 in Sony's product line.

Although not announced yet, a previous leak suggested that the sensor had a size of 1/1.12 inches of original pixel size 0.7 liters. The sensor is built with a 22nm process, supports Hybrid Frame HDR, 100dB+ dynamic range, much better light sensitivity, as well as 2x and 4x full-pixel fusion zoom support.

The same sensor is also rumored to be used on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra, but its appearance in the foldable Find N6 line is a very interesting surprise.

In addition to the main camera, Find N6 will also carry a telephoto camera periscope 3x optical zoom, continuing the previous Find N series tradition.

In addition to the camera sector, OPPO Find N6 also brings a major increase in batteries. This phone is rumored to carry a 7,000mAh battery, up significantly from 5,600mAh on Find N5. Given that Find N5 is already known to have extraordinary battery life, this increase is predicted to provide the best battery performance in the folding phone class.

The type of battery used is referred to as silicon-carbon, a technology that is usually capable of offering large capacities in thinner design and high efficiency.

For the screen, the cover section of Find N6 display is 6.3 inches, similar to its predecessor but is likely to get an improvement in panel quality.

Just like the previous generation, OPPO is reportedly preparing two Find N6 variants for the Chinese market, and one of them will support satellite communication. This feature was previously only found in ultra premium flagship devices.

In addition, Find N6 will be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an upgrade of the optical sensor commonly used on multiple foldable phones.
