QRIS Tap Service Has Been Present In 14 Provinces, Transaction Reaches IDR 13.8 Billion
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) revealed the latest QRIS transaction service, namely QRIS Tap In Tap Out, which allows users to simply attach their cellphones to scanners when transacting, can now be used in 14 provinces.
The provinces include North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Riau, Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Bali.
"So indeed QRIS Tap continues to grow, in various regions, especially for the transportation and retail sectors, and currently there are 14 provinces that have implemented QRIS Tap in the transportation sector," said Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Filianingsih Hendarta during a press conference, Wednesday, November 19.
Since its implementation in March 2025, QRIS Tap In Tap Out has recorded 252,000 transactions with a total value of IDR 13.8 billion.
"Since it was implemented in March 2025, the QRIS Ta transaction has processed around 252,000 transactions with a nominal value of Rp. 13.8 billion and the number of merchants who have been able to QRIS tap has also increased by now to 1.1 juncturers," he said.

He assessed that the public's interest in this transaction method was very high, so the expansion of its use would be carried out at all public transportation service doors.
"As well as the expansion of new use cases to other provinces, as well as other modes of transportation, such as KRL routes, non-Jaboodetabek routes, as well as parking, as well as expansion to the retail sector such as in malls, and in markets, ready Qris Tap in various regions," he said.
