IPhone Fold Will Have Batteries Bigger Than Z Fold 7 And Z Fold 8

JAKARTA - The iPhone Fold, Apple's long-rummed first foldable device, is back in the spotlight after a new leak claims that the phone will have a much larger battery capacity than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series. If true, this move could make this US-based foldable device superior in terms of battery life.

A South Korean leaker, YEux1122, claims that Apple is currently testing a battery with a capacity of between 5,400 and 5,800 mAh for the iPhone Fold. The leak also states that Apple may choose the largest capacity, although the consequence is that the device will be thicker and heavier.

If this number is accurate, then the iPhone Fold will have a much larger battery than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is only equipped with a 4,400 mAh battery. The Galaxy Fold series itself has not received an increase in battery capacity since the first model released in 2019. Thus, the battery capacity on the iPhone Fold is estimated to provide much longer durability than the Samsung Fold line.

On the other hand, reports from the Korean media recently stated that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is likely to carry a battery above 5,000 mAh, although the exact capacity is not yet known. This means there is a possibility that the iPhone Fold will remain ahead with a larger capacity than the Z Fold 8, at least based on the initial leak in circulation.

However, keep in mind that these rumors are still being questioned for accuracy. YEux1122 often does not mention the original source of the leak, so the truth of the information cannot be ascertained. Therefore, this leak should be handled carefully.

Even so, rumors about the iPhone Fold keep popping up. Apple's foldable device will reportedly carry a shorter and wider shape, similar to the first-generation OPPO Find N and Pixel Fold. Other specifications circulating include 48MP dual rear cameras, a foldable screen without credit, as well as a 24MP under-screen selfie camera that Apple is said to be one of Apple's major breakthroughs.
