Secrets Behind Princess Diana's Wedding Shoes That Are Rarely Revealed

The ivory low-principles chosen by Diana are not just accessories. Made by celebrity shoe maker totaliton and her partner Julie Smith for six months, these shoes are decorated with 542 posets and 132 pearls that shape a heart pattern, in line with the dresses by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.

The manufacturing process involved the entirekuston workshop team and took six months. There is even a duplicate pair made as a backup, because real shoes are considered too valuable to be damaged.

Until now, Diana's wedding shoes are estimated to be worth around US$75 thousand or Rp. 1.2 billion. Although expensive, compared to the total cost of marriage which reached US$48 million or Rp. 802 billion.

These shoes include one of the most affordable items of that historic day. The secret symbol in Diana's shoes is not the only example of hidden details in royal history.
