The Reason For Getting Sick, Jusuf Kalla's Sister Canceled Being Questioned Regarding The Alleged Corruption Case Of The West Kalimantan PLTU

JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged corruption case of the West Kalimantan 1 PLTU (West Kalimantan) project, Halim Kalla, Jusuf Kalla's younger brother, former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 10 and 12, canceled his investigation by the Corruption Eradication Koorp (Kortastipidkor) of the National Police on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The Director of Enforcement of Kortastipidkor Polri, Brigadier General Totok Suharyanto, revealed that Halim proposed to postpone the examination on the grounds of illness.

"Today the suspects HK (Halim Kalla) and HYL did not come because they were sick, both of them submitted a letter," he said when confirmed by the media, Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Therefore, Halim, who serves as Director of PT Bakti Partner Nusa (BRN), and Hartanto Yohanes Lim (HYL) as Director of PT Praba Indopersada, is rescheduled to attend next week.

"On November 18 for HYL and November 20 for HK, for reasons of illness," he said.

On Tuesday, investigators also scheduled an examination of Fahmi Mochtar, the former President Director of PLN, yesterday. However, Fahmi did not come for health reasons.

"The suspect FM did not come by submitting a letter requesting a postponement due to post-operational illness," he added

Totok revealed that the examination which was finally carried out yesterday was only on the suspect with the initials RR, Director of PT Bakti Reka Nusa, who has also been named a suspect.

"Yang memenuhi panggilan hanya satu tersangka atas nama RR," pungkasnya.

Previously, the Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Kortas Tipidkor) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police named four suspects in the alleged corruption case of the West Kalimantan 1 Steam Power Plant (PLTU) construction project located in Jungkat Village, Siantan District, Mempawah Regency.

The project, which was worked on from 2008 to 2018, cost the state hundreds of billions of rupiah.

Head of Kortas Tipidkor Inspector General Cahyono Wibowo said the determination of the suspect was carried out after investigators obtained two valid pieces of evidence and the results of an investigative audit from the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"Investigators have named four suspects with the initials FM, HK, RR, and HYL. This decision was taken after a case was carried out and found adequacy of evidence that was strengthened by expert opinion and the results of the BPK examination," he said.
