Ex-President Director Of PT Jasa Marga Desi Arryani Sent To Tangerang Prison

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sent former President Director of PT Jasa Marga, Desi Arryani to The Correctional Institution (Lapas) Class IIA Tangerang. Desi will serve a four-year prison sentence according to the verdict of the Corruption Criminal Court (Tipikor).

"Kpk Execution Prosecutor Andry Prihandono has executed the verdict of PN Tipikor at PN Central Jakarta Number: 59/Pid.Sus/TPK/2020/PN. Jkt. Pst dated April 26, 2021 with convicted Desi Arryani et al," said Acting Kpk Spokesman for Enforcement Ali Fikri, Friday, May 21.

Not only undergoing a criminal body, Desy is also charged with paying a fine of Rp 200 million provided that the fine is not paid replaced with a criminal confinement for 2 months. He was also convicted of additional payment of rp3.41 billion in restitution.

"The convict has now finished making the payment of the replacement money through the KPK shelter account," he said.

In addition to Desy, KPK also sent Fakih Usman to Class I Sukamiskin Prison. Former Project Head and Head of Control Division III/Civil/II PT Waskita Karya was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment reduced while in custody.

Fakih was found guilty of corruption. He was also charged with paying a fine of Rp200 million provided that the fine was not paid in exchange for a 2-month prison sentence.

In addition, he is required to pay additional criminal damages in the form of a replacement of Rp5.97 million no later than one month after the verdict obtains a permanent legal force. Ali said if in that time not paid then his property was confiscated and auctioned to cover the replacement money in question.

"And if the replacement money is not paid then it is punishable by a prison sentence of 2 years," he said.

Finally, executions were also carried out against convicted Yuli Ariandi Siregar. Former Head of Finance and Risk Division II pt Waskita Karya will serve a sentence of 7 years imprisonment reduced while in custody in Class I Prison Sukamiskin.

He was found guilty of corruption. Yuli was also charged with paying a fine of Rp 200 million provided that the fine was not paid in exchange for a 2-month prison sentence.

The convict was also given an additional penalty in the form of a replacement payment of Rp47.16 billion. Ali explained that the criminal is no later than paid one month after the verdict obtains a permanent legal force.

"If in that time is not paid then his property is confiscated and auctioned to cover the replacement money and if the replacement money is not paid then sentenced to prison for 2 years and 6 months," he concluded.
