Foreign Minister Sugiono: President Prabowo Will Discuss Increasing Economic Cooperation With Australian PM
JAKARTA - The increase in economic cooperation to people-to-people contact will be discussed by President Prabowo Subianto during a visit to Australia, said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
Speaking after a bilateral meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, Foreign Minister Sugiono said the state visit was to fulfill the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
"If nothing changes, state visits will take place on November 12, while President Prabowo's departure is scheduled for tomorrow," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
"Talking about several topics, increasing cooperation in the economic sector between Indonesia and Australia," said Foreign Minister Sugiono at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Monday, November 10.
"Then the effort to strengthen cooperation so far, how can we improve the people-to-people contact relationship that has been established between Indonesia and Australia for a long time," explained Foreign Minister Sugiono.
Foreign Minister Sugiono said the state visit only lasted for one day and President Prabowo was scheduled to return directly to the country.
This is related to President Prabowo's plan to receive a state visit from King Jordan Abdullah II on November 14.
As previously reported, Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo Subianto was scheduled to leave for Australia this week.
