Kanwil Kemenkum Ham Sumut Explains The Case Of Doctor Rutan Selling Illegal COVID-19 Vaccine
MEDAN - North Sumatra Police (Sumut) secured the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) for allegedly selling the COVID-19 vaccine illegally. The sale of the vaccine involved 2 ASN from the Health Office and Rutan Medan.
The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) Sumut confirmed the arrest. Kemenkum HAM admitted that there was a doctor on duty at Rutan Class IA Medan who was secured.
Head of Correctional Division of The Ministry of Human Rights Sumut, Anak Agung G Krisna explained, the doctor has the initials IW. IW has served in Rutan Medan since 2019
"We are coordinating with the Police. We state that it is true that there is one ASN person in Rutan Class I Medan who is being examined by friends from the North Sumatra Police," Agung told reporters in Medan, Friday, May 21.
He said that the alleged activity of buying and selling covid-19 vaccines is outside the duties of IW as a doctor in Rutan Medan. Agung revealed, IW has been out of office since Tuesday 18 May.
"According to the information we get from friends coordination results. Asn Rutan Class I Medan, conducting activities allegedly in the form of vaccine sales were conducted outside the ministry," said Agung.
Agung asserted, the actions of the IW is unknown to the leadership. Both in Kemenku Ham Sumut and Rutan Class IA Medan.
"As a result, this becomes a personal responsibility," Agung said.
It submits the IW legal process to the North Sumatra Police and is ready to assist if necessary.
"And we always maintain synergy with friends in polda and support the ongoing law enforcement," agung said.
Kemenkum Ham Sumut awaits the ongoing legal process and will strictly crack down on IW in accordance with the prevailing regulations, namely Government Regulation 53/2010 on ASN Discipline.
"Decisive action, if in PP 53 there is a category of classification of penalties against employees. If this is (true), the implications of criminal will surely be fired," said Agung.
Earlier, North Sumatra Police secured three men. Two of them are doctors on duty in the Health Office (Dinkes) of Sumut Province and in Rutan Class IA Medan. Now they're undergoing an examination.
"There is a suspected misuse of vaccines circulating in the community," said Head of Public Relations of North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi.
