Tsunami Warning In Japan After An Earthquake With A Magnitude Of 6.7
JAKARTA - Japan's Meteorological Agency on Sunday, November 9, issued a tsunami warning for Iwate Prefecture after an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 hit off the northeast coast, causing power outages and temporary suspension of shinkansen services.
Quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, November 9, a tsunami as high as 1 meter is estimated to reach Iwate Prefecture due to the earthquake that occurred at 17.03 local time off the coast of Sanriku, with a depth of about 10 kilometers.

The earthquake reached seismic intensity 4 out of a maximum of 7 in a number of areas in Iwate Prefecture and Miyagi.
A tsunami wave as high as 10 centimeters was observed in Ofunato and a small wave also reached Miyako, both of which are in Iwate Prefecture, he said.
Meanwhile, the Tohoku Shinkansen train service with the Sendai and Shin-Aomori Station routes is back in operation after being temporarily suspended, according to JR East.
