Social Minister Appreciates Police Steps Pascaledakan At SMAN 72 Jakarta

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Syaifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul appreciated the quick steps taken by the National Police in handling the explosion case at SMAN 72 Jakarta on Friday, September 9 which resulted in dozens of students being injured and having to be rushed to a number of hospitals.

"I thank the National Police Chief and all ranks of the National Police who have also taken concrete steps in the field," said Social Minister Syaifullah Yusuf after reviewing the victims of the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, on Sunday, November 9.

According to him, the steps taken by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and his staff in the framework of law enforcement and in order to provide services to victims should be appreciated.

"Starting to send doctors, sending psychologists, providing assistance, which is of course very helpful," he said.

In addition, there were efforts by the National Police Chief and all ranks including immediately rehabilitating the mosque which was the location of the explosion at SMA 72 Jakarta.

"This effort is expected so that the learning process will start again soon," he said.

Regarding the alleged perpetrator of the explosion, he asked all parties to wait for an announcement from the Police.

"So we don't speculate," he said.

However, he emphasized that bullying in schools or other places must be prevented and no more victims.

"This is not only in this case," he said.
