Grab Indonesia Supports Online Ojek Presidential Regulation Discussion For Driver Welfare

JAKARTA - Grab Indonesia appreciates the government's initiative in preparing Presidential Regulations (Perpres) on online transportation for driver welfare.

Grab Indonesia's Chief of Public Affairs, Utama Munusamy emphasized that Grab is ready to actively contribute to policy dialogue so that the final results of the Presidential Regulation truly reflect common interests.

"Grab is ready to actively contribute to the policy dialogue so that the final results of the Presidential Decree truly reflect the common interest in protecting, empowering, and continuing to provide flexibility for the Partners," said Godas in a statement received by VOI, quoted on Sunday, November 9.

Grab also believes that every policy needs to maintain a balance between protection and flexibility, so that Mitras still have freedom to work while getting adequate social protection.

Therefore, Grab emphasized that discussions regarding discounted income, working hours, and status of partnership relations are important issues that need to be resolved with a collaborative spirit.

menjelaskan, berdasarkan pengalaman di sejumlah negara, perubahan status kemitraan menjadi pekerja tetap dapat berdampak pada kehilangan fleksibilitas dan pengurangnya kesempatan kerja.

"Therefore, Grab emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between protection, flexibility, and sustainability in the preparation of new policies," he said further.

Grab Indonesia is committed to continuing to cooperate with the government and all stakeholders in strengthening the welfare of Driver Partners and MSME partners throughout Indonesia.

"By continuing to listen to each other and work together, Grab believes that the future of Indonesian online transportation will be stronger, safer, and fairer for all," he concluded.
