The Minister Of Social Affairs And The Governor Of DKI Provide Assistance For Victims Of The Burst Of SMAN 72 Jakarta

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs, Syaifullah Yusuf, will collaborate with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to provide assistance, both fully financing and recovery for victims of the SMAN 72 Jakarta explosion on Friday, November 7.

"We (the Minister of Social Affairs and the Governor of DKI) will share our duties," he said after reviewing the victims of the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (RSIJ), Sunday, November 9.

After that, the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) will also provide the necessary support after the victim undergoes treatment from the hospital.

He said the assistance provided started from the rehabilitation of the victims, the recovery period until later may be if needed with empowerment programs.

"So I want to say that collaboration is very good," he said.

He said that the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) also provides assistance here every day to oversee medical treatment processes.

"Of course it will reach the next stages," he said.

His party also appreciated that the service at the Cempaka Putih Hospital was very good and was handled professionally. "Doctors have also shared their duties well and we appreciate it," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensured that all costs for hospitals for victims of the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, would be borne by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).

"All medical expenses will be borne by the provincial government where the hospital is," he said in Jakarta, Friday, November 7.

He said this step was a form of the provincial government present by covering all costs of treating victims in hospitals. "Everything will be our responsibility," he said.

He has asked the Head of the Education Office, to the Health Office and the Mayor to resolve the issue.

"For the perpetrators and the cause is the authority of the police," he said.
