Run For Others: Dimas Seto Makes Hobby A Place To Share Kindness
JAKARTA - Starting from his love for running, Dimas Seto changed his hobby to a humanitarian movement called Run for Humanity.
Through this activity, the 46-year-old actor invited people to get involved in sports while sharing where some of the proceeds would be donated to various social programs, including humanitarian assistance for Palestine.
Dimas, who has been active as a long-distance runner since 2013, admits that he wants to give more meaning to his hobby. He felt there was a voidity' when the activity was limited to personal interests, especially if he only raced for the best time to reach the finish line.
"How come there is something we can do besides just looking for health or just achieving personal targets," said Dimas Seto to the media crew in Bintaro, South Tangerang, Saturday, November 8.
Concern for the world situation, especially humanitarian conflicts in Palestine, is one of the main reasons for Dimas to initiate Run for Humanity.
"The world is not doing well anymore, especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine who are experiencing genocide," he said.

The results of these activities are not only channeled in the form of money donations, but are also realized in various real programs.
"Alhamdulillah, God willing, we can support the construction of drill wells, water tanks, food programs, diapers for babies, to cold clothes for our brothers and sisters in Palestine," he said.
Not only focusing on Palestine, Dimas also distributed assistance for social programs in Indonesia. The assistance includes the education, health sector, to basic needs for elderly orphanages.
With the spirit of sharing through sports, Dimas hopes that Run for Humanity can become an inspirational forum for the community to do good while maintaining health.
