Maulid Event Tents In Kembangan, West Jakarta, Hit By A Car, Sound System

JAKARTA - A minibus hit an event tent in front of the Baitushobri Mosque, Kembangan, West Jakarta, in the morning Sunday morning, resulting in two people being injured.

An eye witness at the location named Zaenal (40) revealed that the accident began when a car driven by a man and there was a female passenger passing from Kedoya to Kembangan.

"Then he just hit him and hit him, hit the tent and hit the sound system," Zaenal told reporters at the scene.

As a result of the tent being hit, two people were injured and had to be rushed to the hospital.

"The injured looked like a 'sound system'," he said.

According to Zaenal, the two people in the black minibus were lovers who were suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

"I think I was drunk, I looked, because his face was really messy," he said.

One of the event committees, Adi admitted that he did not see directly when a car hit a tent for the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

When he arrived at the location, the tent was already messy and there was a damaged vehicle in the middle of the tent.

"But earlier it happened when I was preparing. So there are no congregations yet," said Adi.

The Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW event at the mosque took place at 08.00-11.00 WIB. The incident occurred during preparation before there were pilgrims who came.

"The congregation will start at 08.00 WIB," he said.

Currently, the driver of the car and the head of the RT are being investigated by police officers.

Separately, the Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of the West Jakarta Mentro Police Traffic Unit, AKP Joko Siswanto, said that as many as two people were injured in the accident.

The two victims, namely Masil, suffered bruises on his legs and Yuga Al Martodo, had bruises on his legs and hands. "Both of them received treatment at the Kembangan Hospital," he said.
