Women Are Advised To Peek Small After Making Love, For What?
JAKARTA - Women are advised to urinate immediately after having sex. Although not mandatory, it is recommended to maintain intimate organs, to avoid disease infection.
One of the health problems that women can avoid by urinating after sex is urinary tract infection (ISK). This infection can occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract through uretra and then reach the urinary tract.
In women, the position of uretra is very close to the vagina which makes the risk of displacement of bacteria higher than that of men. On the other hand, men have far longer uretra penises, so the risk of bacteria reaching the bladder is lower.
By urinating, bacteria that may enter uretra during sex can be carried out with urine. Although it does not guarantee 100 percent avoid the ISK, post- sex urination is quite effective as a preventive measure.

"You can reduce the chance of infection by always emptying your bladder after sexual contact," said medical adviser Dr. Chelsie McMullin, quoted from the Bupa page, on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Ideally, try to throw away the small water within 30 minutes after having sex. However, the sooner you urinate, the better the effect of prevention.
Not only that, but also by drinking enough water and consuming healthy foods. This will help you better maintain the urinary tract.
Meanwhile, for those of you who often experience recurring ISK, you should consult a doctor to get further treatment. Including the possibility of consuming antibiotics or other preventive therapy.
