The Perpetrator Of The Explosion At The SMAN 72 Kelapa Gading Mosque Is Suspected Of Being A Victim Of Bullying Wanting To Revenge

The mosque where the explosion occurred at SMAN 72 Jakarta was mentioned as a special facility used by students and teachers. The mosque cannot be used for activities of residents outside the school.

"The mosque is specifically for the worship of students, not for the general public," said a resident with the initials ER (25) to VOI, Friday, November 7, 2025.

Meanwhile, based on other information received by VOI, there were two explosions and thick smoke, namely at the school mosque and the back door of the school.

From the school area, homemade bombs were found, remotes along with long-barreled weapons and revolvers.

Meanwhile, according to one of the students at the school, the perpetrator was a student at the same school.

"The perpetrator is also suspected of being a student. He is a victim of bullying. Maybe he wants revenge and also wants to commit suicide," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, one of the teachers at the school said that for the injured victims as a result of the explosion, it was estimated that there were about five to ten people.

"The injured were between 5 and 10 people. No one died," he said.

He also admitted that he did not feel suspicious that the incident would occur at his school.

"We don't feel suspicious at all if there will be an explosion at school," he said.
