Metro Police Chief Confirms Finding Firearms At SMAN 72 Kodamar Kelapa Gading Explosion Location
JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Pol Asep Edi Suheri confirmed that at the location of the explosion of the SMAN 72 Kelapa Gading Mosque, North Jakarta, firearms, long-barreled weapons and revolvers were found.
However, the Kapolda has not provided further information about the weapon because it is still under investigation and examination by officers.
The explosion occurred during Friday prayers, until now the officers are still investigating the crime scene (TKP).
"Yes, we are currently processing the crime scene there. We are investigating, we are processing the crime scene, later we will convey the results." explained Inspector General Asep Edi, to reporters, Friday afternoon, November 7.
Apart from firearms, the police also found objects suspected of being bombs. However, it is not certain what type of object it is.
"Still investigating, this is just an incident, we are investigating it. Later we will convey the results to the media what they are like," he said.

The explosion occurred at SMAN 72 North Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Friday afternoon, November 7. Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto said that the explosion came from inside the mosque. It is suspected that it happened during Friday prayers.
"Yes, it is true that there was an explosion," he said, Friday, November 7, 2025.
A total of two people have so far been victims. Both have been rushed to the hospital (RS), for help.
"There is information that two victims were taken to the hospital," he said.
