Roy Suryo, Tifauziah And Rismon Are Officially Suspects In The Defamation Case Of Alleged Fake Jokowi's Diplomas

JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police Chief named eight suspects in the defamation case related to the alleged fake diploma reported by the former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The eight suspects were divided into two clusters.

"A total of eight people have been designated as what we divided into two clusters," said Inspector General of Police Asep Edi Suheri to the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, November 7, 2025.

According to Asep, there were five suspects in the first cluster, namely lawyer Eggi Sudjana (ES), Kurnia Tri Rohyani (KTR), M. Rizal Fadillah (MRF), Rustam Effendi (RE), and Damai Hari Lubis (DHL).

"Five suspects from the first cluster consisting of names, ES, KTR, MRF, RE, and DHL. The suspects from this cluster are subject to Article 310, Article 311, Article 160 of the Criminal Code, Article 27a Juncto Article 45 Paragraph 4, Article 28 Paragraph 2 Juncto Article 45a Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law,"

Meanwhile, the second cluster consists of three names, namely former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo (RS), Tifauziah Tyassuma alias dr. Tifa (TT), and digital forensic expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar (RHS).

The suspect in cluster two is subject to Article 310, Article 311 of the Criminal Code, Article 32 Paragraph 1 Juncto Article 48 Paragraph 1, Article 35 Juncto Article 51 Paragraph 1, Article 27a Junto Article 45 Paragraph 4, Article 28 Paragraph 2 Junto Article 45a Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law. However, Polda Metro Jaya has not yet detained the suspects.

"Investigators have found sufficient evidence to determine these eight people as suspects because they are strongly suspected of spreading false accusations and carrying out digital manipulation of diploma documents using an unscientific method of analysis," said Asep.

Asep said that the actions of the suspects were considered misleading to the public because they circulated information that could not be accounted for academically or legally. Therefore, he also appealed to the public to be wise in providing information, especially on social media (Medsos).

"Don't be easily provoked by incorrect information, and always check and clarify before spreading something," he concluded.
