Partnership With Local Manufacturers, Engineering Work Retail Rerabot Collection And Decoration At Global Market

JAKARTA In line with his vision to create better everyday life for many people, IKEA Indonesia continues to strengthen partnerships with local producers in Indonesia. This commitment was conveyed in a joint event with the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade which highlighted the contribution of producers, suppliers and local partners in the global supply chain.

Through cooperation with local producers and suppliers, IKEA Indonesia plays an active role in encouraging national industrial growth, creating jobs, and developing Indonesian labor skills to be able to compete in the international market.

Adie Rochmanto Pandiangan, Expert Staff of the Minister for Interior, Spread, and Equity of Industry, Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for the commitment to developing local supplier skills in Indonesia. According to him, this step is a strategic investment that helps local craftsmen to adopt global quality standards.

"We appreciate IKEA for involving local suppliers in the manufacture of its products. This effort directly strengthens the capabilities of local resources in Indonesia, creates a more skilled and global competitive workforce. We fully support IKEA's commitment to continue to increase the export value of Indonesian-made products and make Indonesia a strong and sustainable global manufacturing base," said Adie.

On the same occasion, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, Director General of Domestic Trade, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia said that the partnership between IKEA and local suppliers plays an important role in encouraging the export of Indonesian products to various countries.

"This collaboration not only expands the reach of Indonesian products in the global market, but also increases the competitiveness and image of Indonesian products in the eyes of international consumers. This step is in line with the priority of the Ministry of Trade to expand global market access for Indonesia's superior products so that they continue to experience positive growth in the midst of the dynamics of the global economy," said Iqbal.

The Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia Daniel Blockert also expressed his appreciation for IKEA Indonesia's steps in empowering local suppliers through sustainable strategic partnerships.

We see firsthand how the Indonesian furniture industry shows a strong commitment to achieving a production process that is in line with the principles of sustainability and global quality.
