Police Secure Bows Used By A Group Of Residents To Fight Officers In Kampung Bahari
JAKARTA - The resistance carried out by a group of residents in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta has been anticipated by officers. So that officers can take firm action with the equipment used. As a result, dozens of people were arrested along with sharp weapons and several types of narcotics.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto said, in addition to arresting the suspects, officers confiscated a number of evidences in the form of narcotics of methamphetamine with a total weight of more than 100 grams, 50 ecstasy pills, 30 packs of marijuana, as well as various narcotics consumption equipment such as suction devices (bongs), digital scales, and plastic clips.
"Other evidence that was secured was cash of more than seven million rupiahs, nine mobile phones, and one motorbike," he said.
Budi revealed that during the operation, officers had encountered resistance from a group of drug trafficking networks that attacked using arrows, stones, fireworks, and sharp weapons. However, the situation was successfully controlled after the officers took firm action.
From the results of the operation, officers secured one suspect with the initials MFE around the rail, while 17 other people in an orange boarding house in the local area.
Budi emphasized that all suspects and evidence are currently being secured at the North Jakarta City BNN Office for further investigation.
