Joint Officers Received Resistance When Raiding Kampung Bahari Narcotics Headquarters

Drug Dealer Headquarters, 18 People Arrested

JAKARTA - The drug trafficking headquarters in the Kampung Bahari area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, were raided by joint police from the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency and the Metro Jaya Police Mobile Brigade on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. There was resistance when officers carried out the raid.

18 dealers and users consisting of 17 men and 1 woman were arrested along with evidence.

Dozens of Brimob troops, equipped with tear gas and shields, actually received resistance from a mass group suspected of being ordered by the Kampung Bahari drug cartel.

Police fired tear gas to break the crowd from drug cartels. But the crowd also responded with firecrackers.

Brimob personnel who met resistance with firecracker fire were also stoned by a mob of drug cartels during the raid. The crowd also brandished a number of sharp weapons.

Despite the resistance, the joint forces managed to control the location of the raid to be conducive. The authorities also arrested dozens of suspects suspected of being drug dealers.

"20 tenants from morning to noon. IDR 5000 (one rent a bong)," said one of the perpetrators when arrested by the police, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

The raids targeted two different locations, namely boarding houses and tents in a row along the railroad tracks.

From the boarding house, the police found a dealer and drug user who was inside the boarding house.

Moments later, the resistance from the Kampung Bahari drug cartel continued.

However, BNN RI officers managed to secure dozens of people along with evidence. They were taken to the North Jakarta City BNN Office in Sunter.

Meanwhile, when confirmed by VOI, the Public Relations of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN RI) admitted that they had not received any information about the raid.
