Court Accepts Verstek's Divorce Application, Just Wait For Ikrar Talak

JAKARTA The divorce process for comedian Bedu and his wife, Irma Kartika, has reached the final verdict. The Religious Court granted the divorce application submitted by Bedu verstek, meaning that the verdict was handed down without the presence of the defendant.

Bedu confirmed the news after receiving official information from his attorney.

"If the information from my attorney, I was sent a recording, that my petition as a applicant to the respondent, my ex, Anggi, my wife, was granted to sue for divorce, one divorce," said Bedu in South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 5.

This verstek decision was handed down because Irma was never present at the trial. Even so, Bedu emphasized that the decision to separate had been mutually agreed upon. He also mentioned that the witnesses presented at the trial came from Anggi's family.

"In fact, the witness is a relative of my ex-wife, namely her brother and sister-in-law," said Bedu. Bedu said the next step was to wait for a call from the court to say the pledge of divorce.

"Later, I'll just have to wait for the next call for my pledge of divorce. Pledge of divorce means I officially say and divorce," he concluded.
