Tronton Driver Hits Truck On Japek KM 25 Toll Road, Kernet Dies

JAKARTA - A fatal accident occurred on the Jakarta - Cikampek (Japek) toll road KM 25+600 towards Cikampek, Cibuntu Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency, on Wednesday 5 November 2025 at around 05.00 WIB. The incident resulted in a young man with the initials A (16) who was known to be a truck driver who died at the scene.

The Head of Traffic at the Bekasi Metro Police, Kompol Sugihartono, confirmed the incident.

"Yes, victim A kenek (kernet-red) truck," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

He said the accident began when the tronton tank truck driven by the driver with the initials H (33) allegedly swayed due to sleepiness.

"It is suspected that the driver lacked concentration because he was sleepy, so he swerved to the left and hit the back of the trailer truck which was stopped on the shoulder of the road," he said.

The violent clashes made the tronton truck pushed forward and hit another vehicle whose identity was not yet known. As a result of the incident, the kernet died at the scene.

"The victim died at the scene and was taken to Siloam Hospital, East Bekasi," he added.

Meanwhile, the two vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.

"The vehicle involved was damaged," he concluded.
