Polda Metro Jaya Alerts 715 Personnel To Face Potential Disasters In The Rainy Season
Polda Metro Jaya held a disaster emergency response preparedness rally in its jurisdiction, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 morning. This activity was carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia according to the instructions of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri directly led the rally which was attended by 715 personnel from various agencies, such as the TNI, Basarnas, BNPB, Senkom, to volunteer elements.
"This activity is a form of our preparedness to face potential disasters, especially floods and puddles in the Jakarta area and its surroundings," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya.
Asep Edi explained that his party had mapped disaster-prone points and prepared various emergency handling supporting facilities. Among them: 175 rubber boats, 50 engine boats, 480 SAR buoys, 150 protective helmets, 20 chainsaw (senso) units, and 230 other equipment.
"All of this equipment is ready to be used for evacuation or rescue of victims in the event of a disaster," he said.

Asep Edi added that all elements, both TNI, BNPB, Basarnas, Regional Government, and volunteers will work together in one command to ensure the safety of residents. also urge the public to actively participate by reporting potential disasters in their respective areas.
"If there are signs or potential disasters, immediately report them to the nearest police station or the posts that have been provided so that we can immediately follow up," he appealed.
In addition, related to the potential for fallen trees that often occur during the rainy season, his party has coordinated with relevant agencies to take mitigation steps.
"We will patrol together with the TNI, local government, and BNPB to detect old trees at risk of falling. Later we will coordinate with the City Administration so that logging can be done early," he explained.
Asep Edi hopes that this rainy season will not cause major disasters, but emphasizes that all personnel remain on standby.
"We pray that our territory is safe and smooth, but we still have to be vigilant and ready to face all possibilities," he concluded.
