Pandji Pragiwaksono Reported To Bareskrim Regarding Allegations Of Insulting The Toraja Community

Komika Pandji Pragiwaksono was reported by the Toraja Youth Alliance to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) on suspicion of insulting and speech with SARA nuances against the Toraja community. "We have finished making the report," said Ricdwan Abbas Bandaso', chairman of the Toraja Youth Alliance, Ricdwan Abbas, in a written statement, Tuesday, November 4.

Pandji was considered racist, harassing and degrading the dignity of the Toraja community when presenting stand-up comedy material.

Ricdwan considers Pandji's statement to be misleading and hurting the pride and honor of Toraja's custom which has been inherited from generation to generation. Even until now, there has been no good faith from the perpetrators.

"Since this video went viral, there has been no clarification or apology to the Toraja community, so we took the initiative to report Pandji's brother," said Ricdwan.

"We Toraja youth are entitled and obliged to maintain the dignity of our ethnic customs and culture. Moreover, what Pandji said did not match reality," he continued.
