Residents' Houses In Makassar Village, East Jakarta, Were Destroyed Due To Land Shiftation

JAKARTA - A number of houses located in RT 08/05, Makasar Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, suffered fatal damage due to moving land.

From VOI's observation, damage occurred to fences, walls and floors that were cracked and destroyed due to the erosion of land shifts in the area.

Even the foundation of the front of the residents' houses, or to be precise, which is on the side of the water channel, was also lifted because the underground landslide occurred.

Apart from being lifted, the foundation of the residents' houses at the bottom of the fence was also broken. So that the structure of the walls in the residents' yard was cracked and heavily damaged.

Meanwhile, several PPSU officers from Makassar Village were deployed to the scene to clean up debris from the destroyed buildings.

"For the time being, PPSU has been handled," said Acting Head of Makassar Village, Faisal, to reporters, Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

In addition to cleaning the debris, PPSU officers at the location also carried out the walking of the damaged house foundation using sacks filled with debris.

PPSU officers are also included in the culverts to block the temporary foundation.

"In the future, we have written to Bazis and PMI, hopefully we can get help to build it again, maybe renovate it," he said.

Meanwhile, local residents also supported the walls of the house which almost collapsed with wooden blocks as temporary protection.
