Confessing ASN Deli Serdang Difficult To Rise Rank On TikTok Completed After Bobby Nasution Intervened
North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution mediated the Regent of Deli Serdang Asri Ludin Tambunan and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Deli Serdang Health Service, Farida Purba, who had gone viral because he vented that he had difficulty getting promoted before retiring.
The mediation meeting was held at the Tengku Rizal Nurdin Hall, Medan, Sunday, November 2 and also caught the attention of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto after Farida's video was busy on TikTok social media.
"The video made by Mrs. Farida was immediately responded to by the President. We were contacted yesterday to resolve the problem. Thank God, this afternoon it has been completed," Bobby said as quoted by Antara.
Bobby said the mediation results decided that Farida Purba would take the remedial of the official exam for promotion next week.
"This test is carried out by BKN (State Civil Service Agency). The regions only apply for participants, while the value comes out directly on the computer. So one more week there will be a remedial. Mrs. Farida and those who do not pass can participate," he said.
Regarding the issue of illegal levies (extortion) that Farida mentioned in the video, Bobby emphasized that there was no extortion in the process of testing promotions within the Deli Serdang Regency Government.
"Regarding extortion, Mrs. Farida has told me that there was extortion some time ago. But what I caught was not a matter of official exams, but a matter of school permits in 2019," said Bobby.
Bobby emphasized that the accusation of extortion was not the cause of Farida's failure to get promoted. "So the extortion is not because he doesn't pay and then doesn't pass the test. That's old extortion, in 2019," he said.
Meanwhile, Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan said his party was ready to follow up with a special policy for ASN who did not pass the official exam.
"We will carry out remedials for 58 ASN who did not pass, including Mrs. Farida. The implementation will be held by the Medan BKN," said Asri Ludin.
On the same occasion, Farida Purba thanked President Prabowo, Governor Bobby, and Regent Asri Ludin for the attention and opportunity given to him.
He also clarified his statement in the viral video. "I want clarification, for my official exam it is not extortion. Extortion took place in 2019 when I took care of my college permit," said Farida.

Farida said that she had conveyed the identity of ASN personnel who carried out extortion to the Governor and Regent. He hopes that similar cases will not happen again in the future.
"I have conveyed the person. I will retire in March 2026, and I hope that in the future there will be no more things like this. Thank you also for the remedial opportunity, because we want to show our ability as ASN," said Farida.
