Intention To Excitate Commotion On Jl PLN Baru Papua, Brigadier Abraham Dies Attacked In The Middle Of Patrol
JAYAPURA - Asmat Resort Police (Polres) investigator, Papua, is still investigating the cause of the persecution that caused Brigadier Abraham Eliaser Yarisetouw's death.
"Currently, investigators are still investigating by examining the perpetrator, namely Simon Ufi, who was arrested moments after the incident occurred," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Cahyo Sukarnito, in Jayapura, Antara, Sunday, November 2.
Cahyo explained that the incident that occurred on Sunday began with reports from residents regarding the commotion caused by someone suspected of being drunk on Jalan PLN Baru, Agats.
After receiving the report, Brigadier Abraham and his two colleagues, Bripda Rahmad Hidayat and Bripda Faisal Darus, headed to the location using a patrol motorbike.
However, while at the T-junction of Jalan PLN Baru, perpetrator Simon Ufi appeared from behind, jumped off a motorcycle, and immediately attacked the victim using a sharp machete.
The first attack hit the victim's shoulder, while the second attack was blocked. Brigadier Abraham then tried to escape into the mud to save himself.
Two of his colleagues who tried to help were also chased by the perpetrators, so they reported to the picket officers who were patrolling the location, namely Bripda Obaja Siep.

Officers then returned to the crime scene (TKP) and evacuated the victim to Agats Hospital. However, the victim was declared dead as a result of serious injuries suffered.
"The perpetrator Simon Ufi has now been detained at the Asmat Police Headquarters in Agats," said Cahyo.
