Megawati Instructs Regional Heads To Be More Populist

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Megawati Soekarnoputri instructed regional heads, especially those from this party, to be more populist, to do good to the people.

PDIP DPP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said PDIP DPP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded that this republic was built with the body and soul of the Indonesian people, for example the November 10 incident, then the Diponegoro War, the small people became victims.

"Because Indonesia's belief in independence is based on the spirit of struggle for the benefit of the people, the mother said that regional heads should do good to the people, make the people happy, because that is the mandate given by those who have fought for Indonesia's independence," she said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 31.

In the 70th anniversary seminar of the Asian Africa Conference, 30 academics from 30 countries will attend. In addition to seminars, joint pilgrimages will also be carried out.

"This also raises one awareness that the Indonesian nation must be proud to have a big contribution to world civilization. The spirit of anti-colonialism must be inflamed, including colonialism in the political, economic, legal fields, because that value shows Indonesia's ability," he said.

According to Hasto, Bung Karno's thoughts regarding peaceful coexistence, there is no interference with the political sovereignty of a country that is still very relevant today.
