Crimean Leader Considers Ukraine An Enemy After Fuel Truck Explosion Drone
JAKARTA - The Ukrainian drone strike targeted Russia-controlled Crimea on Wednesday, October 29 local time.
Crimean leader Sergey Aksyonov said a number of Ukrainian drones hit containers filled with fuel and lubricants that led to fires in the surrounding environment.
"As a result of the enemy UAV attack on Simferopol, a tanker truck filled with oil and lubricants was hit by gunfire," Sergey wrote on his Telegram channel, Wednesday, October 29, quoted by Tass.
Sergey said rescue workers went straight to the location of the fire. He confirmed the incident did not cause any casualties.
"The fire occurred. There were no casualties. Emergency services are working at the location," he continued.
Aksyonov appealed to residents and travelers in Crimea to remain calm. He also reminded them not to believe the information circulating, not from official sources.
