Samsung Showcases Galaxy Z TriFold Before It's Officially Released

JAKARTA - After a long time only appearing in rumors and leaks, Samsung finally displays the original form of its three-screen foldable device, Galaxy Z TriFold. This futuristic smartphone is exhibited on a limited basis at the K-Tech Showcase event in South Korea, giving the public a first look at Samsung's biggest screen innovation so far.

In the exhibition, Galaxy Z TriFold was displayed behind the glass, such as future technological artifacts that should not be touched. No teaser videos or rendering images were officially released, and journalists and visitors were not allowed to hold or try the device "a fairly common practice at major technology events when the product was still in pre-release stage."

From the observables, Samsung displays two units of Galaxy Z TriFold. One is fully folded and looks like an ordinary smartphone, while the other is fully opened to show its giant screen. The design looks thicker than the famous Galaxy Z Fold 7 which is super thin, reasonable considering that this device uses two fold hinges.

According to a technical leak circulating, Galaxy Z TriFold will carry a 6.49-inch front screen, while when full-scattered, the main screen can reach nearly 10 inches (9.96 inches). Inside, this device is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, complete with NFC support, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

Samsung is rumored to only produce around 50,000 units for the initial stage, signaling that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be an exclusive product and possibly a collector's item for premium technology enthusiasts.

There is no official release date yet, but its presence at the K-Tech event indicates its launch is very close. For Samsung, this is not just showing off technology, but strategic steps to expand their dominance in the world of foldable devices this time with three folds that are ready to challenge conventional smartphone design limits.
