What Actions Are Not Allowed For Aligned People? This Is The Explanation
YOGYAKARTA - What actions are not allowed for almsgiving people are important things that must be understood by every Muslim. Alms are indeed noble deeds that bring great rewards to Allah SWT, but if done in the wrong way, the value of the good can just disappear.
In Islam, alms should be based on sincere and sincere intentions solely because of Allah SWT. Unfortunately, there are still many people who give alms with attitudes that can actually erase rewards and make alms lose their meaning. Here will be discussed various actions that are not allowed for alms.
As has been mentioned, Alms are noble deeds that Allah SWT loves. However, there are some actions that are not allowed for the charity who can erase their reward and meaning. Here are 5 actions that are not allowed for a charity person.
One of the biggest mistakes in giving charity is doing it without sincerity. Not being sincere means giving alms not because of Allah SWT, but for the sake of getting praise, social status, or certain rewards.
Rasulullah SAW said: 'Indeed, every charity is accompanied by intention, and someone will only get what it means.' (HR. Bukhari and Muslim).
Islam teaches that alms are not just giving wealth, but also must be done with noble morals. Hurting the recipient by insulting or bringing up the gift can erase the reward of alms.
Allah SWT warns in the Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah verse 264: "O believers, do not lose your alms (pahala) by mentioning and hurting (the recipient feels), such as people who give their wealth because they are riya to humans and they do not believe in Allah and the last day."
Make sure that the assets that are converted come from halal assets. A Muslim is prohibited from giving alms of illicit property. Apart from being halal, the goods given as alms must also be good. Allah SWT obeys in the Qur'an Surat Al-Baqarah verse 267:
"O you people who believe, spend (in the way of Allah) part of the good results and part of what we bring out of the earth for you. And don't you choose the bads and then you earn from them, even though you yourself don't want to take them but by mitigating your eyes against them. And know, that Allah is Mahakaya again Mahater Puji."
The attitude of wanting to get a commensurate reply or bringing up gifts is also an act that is not allowed. Alms are giving unconditionally, without expecting anything but the pleasure of Allah SWT.
Imam Ali RA once said, 'Long live your life by turning it off,' which means don't remember or boast of the alms that have been given.
Riya is a form of small excitement that can damage the deeds of worship. People who give alms because they want to be praised by others can lose their reward, can even be guilty.
Rasulullah SAW said: 'Indeed, what I am very afraid of, what will happen to you is little shirk. The Prophet Muhammad saw was asked what the little lyrics were, so he replied; namely Riya' (HR. Ahmad).
Therefore, avoid being seen as good by humans, because the most important thing is the view of Allah SWT towards our intentions.
