Honor And BYD Expand AI Collaboration To Realize Smart Mobility

JAKARTA Technology company from China Honor is expanding its collaboration with electric vehicle manufacturer BYD to develop artificial intelligence-based smart mobility (AI) technology.

Through this strategic partnership, Honor will integrate its inter-device connectivity system with the BYD's DiLink smart vehicle ecosystem. The goal is to create a more efficient, secure, and user-centered driving experience.

This collaboration focuses on three main pillars, namely the development of cross-device technology and AI agents, improving inter-platform compatibility, as well as marketing and product launch activities together.

Our partnership with BYD is a comprehensive collaboration in the AI era, with smart mobility as the main focus. Together, we will accelerate technology development and build an ecosystem of intelligent mobility experiences," said Honor CEO James Li quoted Sunday, October 26.

Honor and BYD first collaborated in 2023 through the NFC-based digital key feature, which allows users to open and turn on BYD cars using Honor smartphones.

The following year, collaboration was expanded with the in-car fast charging feature.
