40th TEI Officially Closed, Minister Of Trade Busan: Transactions Pass Target, Reaches 22.80 Billion US Dollars
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Budi Santoso officially closed the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) event in 2025 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, Tangerang Regency, Banten on Sunday, October 19. Until the close, today at 13.00 WIB the largest export show in Indonesia recorded proud achievements with a total transaction value of 22.80 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp376.20 trillion, exceeding the initial target of 16.5 billion US dollars.

This achievement shows that Indonesian products are not only able to compete, but also become prima donna in the global market. The 40th TEI proves the strength of Indonesia's natural resources and human resources in producing superior and sustainable export products," said the Minister of Trade Busan.
During the five-day implementation, TEI 2025 was visited by 34,550 people from 131 countries, exceeding the target of 30,000 visitors. Specifically for overseas buyers, it was recorded that there were 8,045 people out of 130 countries with the highest number coming from Malaysia with 769 buyers, China 605 buyers, India 584 buyers, Nigeria 509 buyers, and Egypt 406 buyers. Meanwhile, the number of exhibition participants reached 1,619 companies, higher than the target of 1,500 participants. The participant details for the Food Zone, Beverage & Agricultural Products, Licensing and Warabas as many as 623 companies; the Fashion Lifestyle Zone as many as 603 companies, and the Manufacturing Zone and Services as many as 393 companies.
In terms of transactions, trade in goods recorded 17.90 billion US dollars, trade in services 443.70 million US dollars, and investment USD 4.37 billion. This transaction consists of a memorandum of agreement (MoU) worth 22.70 billion US dollars, transactions in exhibition areas (fairground) amounting to 71.60 million US dollars, and exploring business matching for 63.40 million US dollars or an increase of 88 percent compared to 2024. Specifically for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), this event recorded transactions of 474.70 million US dollars or around Rp7.80 trillion.
In the 40th TEI, the countries with the highest transactions were India with a value of 4.30 billion US dollars, the Netherlands (3.90 billion US dollars), Vietnam (3.30 billion US dollars), the Philippines (3.10 billion US dollars), and China (2.40 billion US dollars).
While the most popular products include mining products worth 5.50 billion Singapore dollars, precious metals (2.70 billion US dollars), palm oil and its derivatives (2.30 billion US dollars), charcoal and briquettes (1.60 billion US dollars), and spare parts (1.40 billion US dollars).
In addition to the main exhibition, the Nusa Expo 2025 Food activity also recorded success with the potential for culinary expansion cooperation abroad worth 7.30 million US dollars, as well as potential business matching transactions of IDR 37.60 billion and direct transactions (on the spot) reaching 2.40 billion US dollars. This activity opens market access for 12 culinary MSMEs, including winners of the SME Food Award to modern retail networks and national public transportation such as PT KAI.
