BYD Dolphin Terbaru Tertangkap Kamera Sedang Uji Jalan, Apa Yang Berubah?

JAKARTA - BYD Dolphin is one of the electric hatchbacks that is quite attractive not only in the local market, but also in Indonesia. Most recently, the model will get a refresh next year.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Sunday, October 19, the latest BYD Dolphin was caught on camera testing the road in China, but shrouded in full camouflage on the outside.

Based on reports from China, Dolphin is new to likely adopt CTB (cell-to-body) battery integration technology, along with revised rear suspensions, possibly four-link configurations or even five links.

The report also shows additional rear-wheel drive configurations, front trunks, and higher-powered motors combined with larger battery packs. It is estimated that the remote and hybrid rear-wheel drive versions will debut in the second quarter of 2026.

Preliminary data suggest that Dolphin 2026's top specification could exceed the reach of 520 km CLTC, powered by the Blade 2.0 BYD Battery with enhanced cold weather resistance, retaining a capacity of 82 percent at a temperature of -30 degrees Celsius.

In addition, changes are also said to occur in simplified dashboards with a two-color seat and a large center floating touch screen. The interior is likely to be equipped with a DiLink 5.0 powered by the Qualcomm 8295 chip, offering 0.8-second noise response and optional L2+ driver assistance with NOA (Navigasi with Autopilot) on the highway.

The exterior design is estimated to be not much different from the previous version which looked elegant. The car dimension remains the same as the current model, which is 4,280 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,570 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

The launch time is estimated between June and August 2026, with a fixed likelihood price of between 99,800 and 129,800 yuan or the range of Rp232-302 million.
