Janice Tjen Qualifies For WTA Final 125 Jinan Open 2025

JAKARTA Indonesia's mainstay tennis player, Janice Tjen, managed to secure a ticket to the WTA 125 Jinan Open 2025 final. He qualified after defeating New Zealand tennis player Lulu Sun.

Janice, who is the third seed in the tournament, came from the first set to win with a score of 4-6, 7-6(7), and 6-4 on Friday, October 17, 2025.

In these clashes, Janice made fewer double mistakes, two to five against her sixth seed.

The Jakarta-born tennis player also converted more break points, four of the six opportunities. However, he only made four aces compared to seven belonging to his opponent.

Apart from playing in the singles, Janice also competed in the doubles sector with British tennis player Maia Lumsden. Unfortunately, their journey ran aground in the first half.

Janice is one of two Indonesian players who managed to reach the semifinals of this tournament with Priska Medalyn Nugroho.

However, Priska failed to continue his journey to the final round. The 22-year-old tennis player lifted his suitcase after suffering a 4-6 and 0-6 defeat to Hungarian tennis player, Anna Bondar, within one hour and 12 minutes.

This defeat made Priska hopeless. Previously, he and Japanese tennis player, Hiroko Kuwata, lost in the quarter-finals double number against Elixane Lechemia/Alicia jurisprudence.
