Involved In Persecution, Police In Badung Bali Fired
BADUNG - Member of the Badung Police, Bali, was officially dismissed or fired from the National Police, for being involved in a case of abuse.
Badung Police Chief AKBP M. Arif Batubara said the PTDH decision was the last step in order to maintain the discipline and dignity of the National Police organization.
"This ceremony is a tough and concerning moment, not only for the person concerned and his family but also for all of us as a big family of the Badung Police, for that there should no longer be members who are arrogant in society," said AKBP Arif Batubara as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 16.
The Disrespectful Dismissal Ceremony (PTDH) was held at the Badung Police Headquarters Apple Field, on Wednesday (15/10) yesterday, and was led by a ceremony by the Badung Police Chief AKBP M. Arif Batubara.

Meanwhile, the member who was fired was Brigadier KAW who was dismissed for being involved in a case of persecution. Brigadier KAW was dismissed based on the decision of the Bali Police Chief dated September 18, 2025.
During the ceremony, PTDH was carried out symbolically by giving a cross (X) on the photo of the fired member, because he was not present at the ceremony.
According to him, dishonorable dismissal is not a short decision, but has gone through a long, objective, and transparent stage.
"This decision is not due to hatred but for the sake of upholding organizational rules and honors. Loyalty, discipline, and ethics are the main foundation in service. When it is violated repeatedly, the institution has no other choice," he said.
His party also emphasized that the PTDH decision was based on three main principles, namely legal certainty, benefit, and justice.
He hopes that this moment will serve as a reminder for all Badung Police members not to commit similar violations. With this PTDH, the Badung Police are trying to show a commitment to maintaining public integrity and trust.
"Learn from this incident. Make it a bitter lesson that every action has consequences. We will not tolerate serious violations that tarnish the good name of the institution and betray the people's mandate," he said.
