Police Arrest Methamphetamine Dealers In Buses Passing Bungo Jambi
JAKARTA - The Bungo Police Narcotics Investigation Team in Jambi managed to secure one perpetrator of drug couriers from cross-provincial networks, on the Sumatra highway, precisely in Jujuhan District, Bungo Regency.
"We secured the perpetrator while inside one of the public transportation (bus) on the Sumatran highway, Jujuhan District," explained Head of the Bungo Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Iptu Riko Saputra in Muaro Bungo, Monday, confiscated by Antara.
He said the arrest of the suspect began with information from the public, based on the report, officers immediately moved and blocked a bus passing across the Sumatran road, and managed to find the perpetrator.
The perpetrator was arrested while on a bus from Aceh to Bungo Regency, September 29, 2025 at 15.00 WIB. After a search was carried out, officers managed to find a black Asoy bag.
During the search, the police found three clear packages that were taped, containing methamphetamine weighing up to 303 grams.
The perpetrator is known as Selamat (48 years old), a resident of Ampera Hamlet, Simpang Empat Village, Karang Batu District, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

Kasat continued, the perpetrators and evidence were brought to the Bungo Police Station to undergo the process of investigating and developing the origin of drugs and the purpose of shipping.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 114 junto 112 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law, number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
"All the evidence that was successfully secured was then collected and brought together with the perpetrators to the Bungo Police Headquarters for further investigation and investigation to reveal the narcotics trafficking network completely," he explained.
