Situbondo Regency Government Prepares For Bahari Pasir Putih Tourism Transformation To BLUD
JAKARTA - The Situbondo Regency Government (Pemkab), East Java, plans to change the status of the Bahari Pasir Putih Tourism Management to the Regional Business Service Agency (BLUD) in 2026.
This step was taken to improve professionalism and service quality in one of the leading tourist destinations on the Pantura - Java -Bali route.
So far, the management of tourist areas in Bungatan District is still under the responsibility of the Situbondo Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency (Disparpora). However, through a new policy initiated by Regent Yusuf Rio Wahyu Prayogo, its management will soon be transferred to BLUD.
"According to the Regent's instructions, the management of Pasir Putih will be the BLUD target next year (2026)," said Situbondo White Sand Bahari Tourism Manager, Yogie Kripsian Sah, in Situbondo, Sunday.
Yogie explained that this change in status will provide more flexible movement space for management in improving facilities, infrastructure, and tourist facilities without having to wait for the budgeting process from the APBD.
"If the management is changed to BLUD, it will be more flexible in planning to add facilities in Pasir Putih," he explained.
He added that since he was trusted by the Regent of Situbondo to coordinate the management of Pasir Putih, the revenue from the tourism sector has shown a significant increase. In the last two months alone, namely August and September, the total revenue from visiting tickets and lodging has exceeded Rp500 million.
"Alhamdulillah, Pasir Putih's revenue in August was around Rp. 269 million and September was around Rp. 330 million, good future prospects," he said.

Meanwhile, Situbondo Regent Yusuf Rio Wahyu Prayogo emphasized that changing status to BLUD is part of a strategy to strengthen regional tourism governance to be more independent and professional.
"Light Pasir Putih's income began to increase its income, hopefully this can be a new spirit, giving a new face, because I want Pasir Putih's face to change a lot next year," said the Regent.
He hopes that the BLUD-based management will not only be able to increase regional income, but also accelerate the modernization of the Pasir Putih area as a clean, friendly, and competitive maritime tourism icon for Situbondo.
