16 Garuda Schools Launched, Palace: Prabowo Manifestation

JAKARTA The great aspiration of President Prabowo Subianto to give birth to a superior generation from all corners of Indonesia is starting to materialize. Prabowo's flagship school program, Garuda School, officially begins simultaneously in 16 locations throughout Indonesia, marking the start of the Fast Best Product Program (PHTC) in the field of Education.

The Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP), Muhammad Qodari, called the Garuda School a real manifestation of President Prabowo's big idea.

KSP: Prabowo's Dream Of Establishing A Realized Superior School

The inauguration of the construction of the Garuda Baru High School in Kelapa Kampit District, East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung, on October 8, became a historic moment. This event was held simultaneously at 16 points, consisting of 12 Garuda Transformation Schools and four locations for the construction of the Garuda Baru School.

Qodari, when delivering a speech with the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Wamendikaintek) Stella Christie, expressed her happiness.

"I am very happy to be here and very confident that President Prabowo is happy to see today's incident, because one of his aspirations to establish superior schools in various corners of Indonesia will soon be realized," said Qodari, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Until 2029, the government targets 80 schools to be part of the Garuda Transformation School and build 20 New Garuda Schools in priority areas.

"God willing, there will be 20 new Garuda seeded schools such as in Belitung and 80 other schools that will transform. Garuda School will be an important instrument for producing quality young people, supporting our struggle towards Indonesia as a developed country," he said.

KSP 'Hand Right' Behind Regulations And Budget

Qodari explained that the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) has held a crucial role since the initial stage of formulating the Presidential Regulation on Garuda School.

"From the start, KSP has been involved in the drafting of Presidential Regulations. What we witnessed today is a manifestation and implementation of President Prabowo's ideas and ideas," he said.

KSP plays a vital role in accelerating various processes, ranging from drafting regulations, preparing land, adjusting budget mechanisms, controlling cross-institutions, to facilitating the provision of educators with special remuneration schemes.

Even though the land is ready, Qodari emphasizes the biggest challenge lies in physical development in the next year. He asked that the collaboration of the Ministry of Education and Technology, local governments, and related ministries continue to be strengthened.

From Belitung Born 300,000 New Superior Generations

Qodari also mentioned the great potential of East Belitung which has given birth to big figures such as Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), and Andrea Hirata.

"Now there are only three, after the presence of the Garuda School, God willing, 300 will be born, then 3,000, even 300,000 new superior generations," said Qodari full of optimism.

He also ensured that the Garuda School would accommodate students from various provinces. Although 20 percent of students are from Bangka Belitung, 80 percent will be filled from outside the region in order to create cross-regional interactions and grow a strong national spirit.

"This is a new hope for young Indonesians, especially the talented. With the Garuda School, previous efforts are becoming systematic," concluded Qodari.
