Garuda School Launched In Bogor, Encourages Access To Superior Education
BOGOR Bogor City has officially become one of the launching areas of the Garuda Transform School program, which is part of a national strategic project under Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto. This program aims to build superior schools that are integrated with science, technology, and strengthening national character approaches.
The Garuda Transformation School in Bogor City is located at the Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School Light School, which is now officially called the Garuda Tumbangan Cahaya Rancamaya School. The program launch was carried out simultaneously nationally through an activity entitled 'Recognizing Garuda School: New Hope for Superior Education'.
In Bogor, the launch was attended by the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi, the ranks of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), and the Mayor of Bogor Dedie A. Rachim, on Wednesday, October 8.
Dedie Rachim welcomed the presence of the Garuda School in Bogor City and assessed that this program opens up great opportunities for the public to gain access to global quality education.
"So we are grateful, hopefully this program can be used by the people of Bogor to prepare generations who are able to compete at the world level," said Dedie.
He explained that Garuda School has two financing schemes, namely the Garuda Baru School with full scholarships, and the Garuda Transform School which utilizes existing schools to be developed through scholarship and independent schemes. That way, middle and lower income people still have the opportunity to send their children to Garuda Tumbang School.
"This school will prepare students to be able to continue to world-class universities. The scheme is flexible, some are independent and some are scholarships. So, the underprivileged still have the opportunity to study at this Rancamaya school," added Dedie.
He also invites parents to prepare their children from an early age by building their interests, talents, and talents from elementary school. Education of global character and insight needs to be instilled from the start so that children have a clear direction according to their ideals," he said.
Apart from Garuda School, Dedie revealed that Bogor City is also preparing for the construction of a People's School in South Bogor. Thus, Bogor is one of the cities that runs two national strategic programs in the field of education simultaneously.
Meanwhile, PPPA Minister Arifah Fauzi explained that Garuda School is under the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Technology and plays an important role in Indonesia's superior and inclusive human development.
According to him, this school is not only focused on academics, but also strengthens science, technology, health, sports, gender equality, empowerment of women and youth, as well as fulfilling children's rights to education.
Garuda School is here to provide equal opportunities for all children in developing their potential and achievements. The tagline is clear: Creating Talenta Science and Technology to break the world. We want Indonesian children to grow up to be future leaders," said Arifah.
