Pep Guardiola Will Invite Wenger And Ferguson To Dinner After Breaking The Latest Record
JAKARTA - Pep Guardiola will invite Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger to dinner after breaking another Premier League record.
Manchester City's 1-0 victory against Brentford is Guardiola's 250th win as manager in the Premier League.
Guardiola only needed 349 games to hit the record, while the next best record --Ferguson at Manchester United and Wenger at Arsenal -- both required more than 400 games.
"It's an honor to be with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, I'll invite them to a fun dinner."
"I'm very happy to be part of the history of the Premier League. Very happy. Now let's try 250 more games!" said the Spaniard.

Erling Haaland crossed out the Gtech Stadium from his list of destinations as one of only two places in the Premier League he had never conceded before.
Just eight minutes passed, the Norwegian striker ran to meet Josko Gvardiol's cross.
Haaland broke through Brentford's defense, past two defenders Sepp van den Berg and Nathan Collins, before firing a shot past Caoimhin Kelher.
It was Haaland's 18th goal in 11 games for his club and country this season. A goal at Bentford's headquarters makes Anfield the only stadium he has never broken into in the Premier League.
However, Manchester City missed a goal and almost conceded when Igor Thiago ran fast into the net, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was still able to save.
"When away, when we were 1-0 up, we were always struggling. In the first half, we were in the best form and should have scored more goals to make the game a little easier."
"We knew in the first half they would be more pressing. Loops into, corner kicks, free kicks, we always had a hard time. However, the game went well," said Guardiola.
Unfortunately, Manchester City's performance in the west London sun was bad when midfielder Rodri was injured again.
In the 20th minute, a Spanish player who is still in the recovery stage after almost a year of absence from an ACL injury, sat in the center circle of the field holding on to his hamstring.
He finally limped off the pitch and was replaced by Nico Gonzalez.
"It looks like hamstring, but we don't know how severe the injury is," Guardiola said.
Meanwhile, for Brentford, this is their first home defeat of the season. Long loops and their dead ball came to fruition.
"We made the game very uncomfortable in the second half. It was a game with few chances."
"When you limit it with just a few chances, you play well. I'm sure there aren't many other strikers in the world scoring like that," said Brentford coach Keith Andrews.
