Hyundai Prepares One More New Model In Indonesia, Chances Of Electric Cars

JAKARTA Hyundai continues to show its seriousness in the Indonesian automotive market. Throughout 2025, this South Korean manufacturer has presented various new models, ranging from Stargazer Cartenz which stole attention at the GIIAS 2025 event, to the Hybrid Coalition and All New Creta.

Apparently, the series of models is not the last. Hyundai is still preparing another surprise before this year ends. This was conveyed directly by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto.

"According to the promise, there is one more model that will be launched. Regarding powertrain, just wait, but most likely electricity," said the man who is familiarly called Suryo, when met at the Hyundai Juml School Batch 2 event in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 1.

Although reluctant to reveal the details of the segment, Suryo gave a little idea that Hyundai's latest model will most likely play in a popular class, namely SUV or MPV with a 7-SEATER SUV style which is now trending in the country's market.

Regarding the rumors of Hyundai Ioniq's presence 9, Suryo chose not to give a definite answer. He only mentioned that there is a possibility that it will launch is Ioniq 9, but it could also be the Inster model.

"Friends, I had time to ask (about Inster), maybe. Earlier there was also the mention of Ioniq 9, maybe too. So just wait for the play date," he explained.

What is clear, Hyundai ensures that it will close this year with the launch of a new model that is ready to increase the color of the Indonesian automotive market.
