Trump: The Agreement To End The Gaza War Is Near, Hostages Will Be Released
JAKARTA - President Donald Trump said he was close to reaching an agreement to end the war in Gaza and repatriate the hostages.
"It looks like we have reached an agreement on Gaza. I think this is a deal that will repatriate the hostages, this will be an agreement that ends the war," Trump said.
While international leaders gathered in the United Nations (UN) in New York this week, the US launched a 21-point Middle East peace plan aimed at ending the nearly two-year war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.

The proposal was circulated on Tuesday to officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan, according to US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Trump, who remains Israel's closest ally on the global stage, said he spoke on Thursday with representatives from several Middle Eastern countries and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
