5 Gold Pendulang Dies KKB In Yahukimo Identified, Evacuation Blocked By Flood
The police said five gold collectors who were victims of the persecution and shooting of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Yahukimo Regency had been identified.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Cahyo Sukarnito, revealed that the victims were Desem Dominggus, Marselinus Manek, Roberto, Yunus and Unu.
"Information about the five victims was revealed from fellow illegal gold collectors who escaped from the mining location in the interior of Yahukimo Regency," said Cahyo Sukarnito in Jayapura, Thursday, as quoted by Antara.
According to him, the shooting case that killed the five survivors was reported to have occurred on September 21-22 in two different locations.
From the reports received, the first case occurred in Bingki, Sunday, September 21, two people were killed and three others were shot Monday, September 22 around the time I.

Currently, the five bodies have not been evacuated due to various obstacles such as gunfire that occurred Monday, September 22, and since Tuesday, September 23, and rainfall has hampered evacuation plans.
"As of Thursday (September 25) the weather has not been friendly so members who will evacuate will be hampered by flooding," said Kombes Cahyo Sukarnito.
When asked about the perpetrators of the shooting, the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police said that from the reports received, it was revealed that the perpetrator was KKB Kodap XVII Yahukimo, led by Kopitua Heluka.
Previously, in April, the KKB also carried out attacks and shot illegal gold collectors in the interior of Yahukimo, including in Bingki, killing 16 people.
