DKI Provincial Government Admits There Are Funds To Deposit In Banks, Make Sure It's Only Temporary

Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Lusiana Herawati admitted that there were deposited funds belonging to the DKI Provincial Government which were stored in Bank Jakarta.

This, said Lusiana, occurs because the current nominal regional income is still greater than the amount of spending on programs and personnel expenditures that have been disbursed at this time. However, Lusiana did not reveal how much the funds were still deposited.

"Regarding DKI's financial condition, between revenue and expenditure, this is still above revenue. So it is stored in Bank Jakarta, in a regional cash account," Lusiana told reporters, Thursday, September 25.

However, Lusiana ensured that the deposited funds were only temporary. The DKI Provincial Government still has more than three months to spend the budget according to the regional government's work plan this year.

On the one hand, the DKI Provincial Government is also accelerating the procurement of goods and services until the end of the year. So, according to him, the use of the regional budget is currently still within a reasonable corridor.

"For 2025, acceleration has been carried out in the procurement of goods and services, acceleration has also been carried out. Other activities may just have to wait for the SPJ (an accountability letter)," explained Lusiana.

"Of course, with the revised APBD which will soon be knocked, later when it is knocked, then we will disburse everything," he continued.
