Pramono Re-relaxation Of 6 Types Of Taxes In Jakarta, Here Are The Details

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced that the DKI Pemrpov has again issued a policy of relaxing a number of taxation in Jakarta. This relaxation will last until the end of 2025.

There are 6 taxes that have been relaxed, namely Land Taxes and Rural and Urban Buildings (PBB-P2), Land and Building Rights Obtainment Customs (BPHTB), Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB), Specific Goods and Services Tax (PBJT) Arts and Entertainment, and billboard tax.

"We have decided that several taxes, including PBB-P2, BPHTB, PKB, BBNKB, PBJT Arts and Entertainment, as well as billboard taxes, we will relax or also provide relief," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, September 24.

In detail, the relaxation of BPHTB is in the form of a 50 percent reduction, from 5 percent to 2.5 percent for the first tax object. Then, a 75 percent reduction for the first new rights granting will take sides with young families and the younger generation, including the acquisition of the rights to the management rights of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"This hope can ease the burden on young families and the younger generation of Jakarta in buying the first house, so it is easier for them to have a decent place to live to start their new life," said Pramono.

Then, the DKI Provincial Government's PBB-P2 reduced the PBB to 100 percent for the implementation of primary and secondary private education in the form of a foundation.

"Previously it was only 50 percent, now it is fully 100 percent. The goal is that private schools can focus on improving the quality of education without being burdened with high taxes. So that school fees for parents can also be more affordable," explained Pramono.

Then, 50 percent reduction in arts and entertainment PBJT for film performances in cinemas, cultural arts performances for education, charity, and social, from 10 percent to 5 percent.

"This policy is to support the creative and cultural world, as well as to open access to cheaper entertainment and education for the wider community," Pramono explained.

Then, the billboard tax for objects indoors such as cafes, restaurants, shop houses, and so on is exempted. Pramono said that the billboard tax exemption was decided so that MSME actors could more easily promote their businesses without being burdened with additional costs.

Furthermore, the DKI Provincial Government reduces PKB levies on motorized vehicles whose selling value (NJKB) is above market price, to match market prices.

"Hopefully this can help people who have old or simple vehicles to still be able to pay taxes lighter without worrying about burdening the economic condition of their families," he said.

Finally, the DKI Provincial Government continues to free the PBB-P2 for war veterans, underprivileged families, and families of victims of natural disasters.

"With real partiality, it proves that we, the DKI Jakarta government, are in the current condition of really being present and supporting the residents. It is hoped that the incentives to be given will be alleviated and will also be a trigger for residents who are trying to be more enthusiastic so that the economy in this society will grow and stretch," he added.
