Caps And 2 Of His Colleagues Drifted In Bandang Floods In South OKU Found Dead
The joint SAR team found three victims who were swept away by the flash flood in South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra (Sumsel), in a state of death.
Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the South OKU BPBD, Heri Pramono, said that the high rainfall that occurred on Tuesday morning at 02.00 WIB caused flash floods that hit two residential units in Tanjung Harapan Village, Sindang District, and was swept away by the current.
"There are three people who have been declared missing in the flash floods, namely forced bin Syukur, Lina bint Dupir, and Sur," he said in Muaradua, South OKU, Tuesday, which was confiscated by Antara.
The search process was carried out by the joint SAR team using rubber boats upstream of the river so that victims were found immediately.
He said the victims on behalf of border and Sur were found at around 10.30 WIB in the Air Besar River or a few kilometers from the scene.
Meanwhile, the third victim, Lina bint Dupiri, was found at 11.15 WIB in Sungai Are or about 14 kilometers from the scene.
"All the victims were found dead. The number of houses affected by the disaster and material losses is currently still in the process of collecting data," he said.

Meanwhile, South OKU Regent Abusama expressed his deep condolences for the disaster.
"We are sorry for this tragedy. The South OKU Regency Government will continue to assist the affected residents and ensure that post-disaster management runs as well as possible," said Abusama.
The Regent also appealed to the public to remain alert to possible aftershocks, considering that the intensity of rain in the area is still quite high in order to anticipate casualties.
